In addition to endorsing the products of others, Ayu was a regular model and sometimes designer for the clothing line MATERIAL GIRL (commonly recognized as MTRL GIRL); the company also has a line for males called MTRL BOY.
Even if she is not the face of the advertisement, her music has also been used to promote video games by Capcom and Atlus.
Ayu is also the creator of Ayupan, a cartoon character modeled after herself. In addition to starring in her own television mini-series, Ayupan also graces a vast line of products ranging from handbags to stationary, and a new design is released to match each of her namesake's musical releases. Funnily enough, all of the Ayupan designs until the & single were frowning.
