This huge boxset marks Ayu's 10th anniversary with 3 CDs spanning all of her 40+ singles coming to a total of 43 re-mastered tracks and a 48 page photobook featuring unreleased cover artwork. It is also available with an additional DVD featuring previously-unreleased live footage. Both packages are available at a considerably low "10th Anniversary Thanks Price!".
Although all tracks have been remastered, singles like "fly high", "kanariya", and "Daybreak" whose a-sides were remixes are represented by the album arrangements of the songs, not the remixes.
The Taiwan pressing of the album has the bonus track "Who... (Chinese Version)" in place of the "10th Anniversary" version from the Japanese version.

As a follow-up to 2001's A BEST (and the best selling album of her career), A BEST 2 is available in two formats: A BEST 2 -BLACK- and A BEST 2 -WHITE-. Each is available in a CD-only or CD+2DVDs format with different songs, videos, and features. A BEST 2 -BLACK- is the mellower of the two featuring one new song.
All tracks on A BEST 2 have been re-mastered by Grammy-winner Brian "Big Bass" Gardner of LA's Bernie Grundman Mastering. To be entirely honest, I can't hear much of a difference and didn't realize there was a difference until glancing through the English mirror of ABEST2.com, though I also have pretty shoddy speakers.
The bonus track "Memorial address" is the same recording as the bonus track included on the Memorial address album. Unlike on the original mini-album, the song is tacked onto the end of "part of Me" and is not listed on A BEST 2 -BLACK-'s tracklisting.
The A BEST 2 Countdown Live DVDs marked Ayu's first formal producing credit.

Although originally announced as a mini-album in the same vein as Memorial address, Secret was soon expanded to a full-length release.
The song "Secret" is the theme song for the Hong Kong film Confessions of Pain. The song was covered by Denise Ho for the original Chinese version of the film, but Ayu's will be used for the international release.

First Press editions of the both the CD+DVD and CD versions come with a special photo booklet titled "On My Way" and "Off My Day" respectively.
"Bold & Delicious", "Ladies Night", "In the Corner", "Pride", "Beautiful Day" and "rainy day" were produced by GEO of Sweetbox, and the group has released their own versions of the songs. Almost all of these songs can be found on their Addicted album under slightly different names (previews are available on Sweetbox's official website). If Wikipedia is to believed, "In the Corner" is the single exception, the demo of which can be found on Raw Treasures Volume 1.
